Craig portrayed Martin brought to life in the opening few years of Channel 7’s Home and Away through 1988 - 1989 and then again 2000 and 2002. Martin Dibble was a rough edged, larger than life likable character always up to mischief.
Though Thommo's real life is nothing like the the character he portrayed, Marty Dibble did have a music career of notoriety including a publishing deal with Sony as it was written in, a stand out similarity between the character and the actor, Craig Thomson has himself a music career that includes working the USA, UK and Europe with INXS and Frankie Goes To Hollywood members respectively.
